The Dodge County branch of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) scholarship and benefit fund banquet will be held at Middle Georgia Aviation College in Eastman on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Francys Johnson.
Johnson is in private practice as a attorney with the Johnson Firm P.C. in Statesboro. He represents individuals in criminal and civil matters before all state and federal courts in Georgia.
Previously, Johnson worked for the NAACP in a variety of capacities including state legal redress director; state executive director; and southeast regional director. As southeast regional director he was the chief manager of the NAACP’s public policy agenda and administrative activities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Johnson managed over 60% of the group’s total membership base. He continues to advise and consult the organization’s national agenda.
