This article pays a tribute to our greatest gift from God—life. This is a gift that everyone does not get a chance to experience.
There are three reasons for paying tribute to life. First of all, this precious gift life. Second, every life has a purpose. Last but not least, because of life we all have the chance to touch others lives.
Our heavenly father “formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being,” Genesis 2-7. Life is the beginning of all things. Being blessed with life allows us to follow our dreams, to love, to experience ups and downs, to make choices and to learn from our mistakes. Life also allows us to leave behind our legacy once we are gone.
Every life, no matter how long or how short has a purpose, whether it’s families together during birth or to bring families and long lost friends together to celebrate the life that one lived after death. Every life is of equal importance and should never be taken for granted, because in the blink of an eye it can be taken away.
Finally, my life, as well as your life allows us to touch the lives of others. People in general tend to draw strength from one another. Maybe you have given an unknown person hope to live without even knowing you did. Just think, maybe you gave that person a pat on the back, an encouraging word or even a simple smile, that gave that person strength enough to make it through the day. Perhaps you have had a teacher that encouraged you to do better, that told you it was ok to be scared, but helped you to overcome your fears of speaking publicly. These things would not be possible if we never had a chance at life.
