Rhine is my home. When everything else in my life changes over the years, Rhine is still here and welcomes me home. A town is its people, and these people always come to the aid of their neighbors and friends. Lost a loved one? Your table will be filled with food. Alone and infirm? Your Rhine neighbors will call you every day and come by to see if there's anything you need. House burn down? You will be overwhelmed at the food, clothes and neccessities these people will gather up and provide for you.

Every town has it "baddies," but this little town is overwhelmed with good people. Rhine is part of who I am and I'm proud of that.

I'm surprised that the mayor has put up Confederate Flags in Rhine. I"m white but this community try not to insult anyone. He suppose to be a business man and told during election he wanted the town to stay close knitted. The flags are a eyesore

do not ever privatize a jail,housing humans for profit is a bad idea and leads to riots etc,they cut food allowances,hygiene and put in phones that charge you anywhere from $1.00 to $5.00 a minute..it could be your son,daughter,wife etc in that jail in the future..they want to charge you for medical,dental,visits etc..your just asking for trouble,run your own jail...and I'm just curious,whose behind all star?...

As a rural citizen I don't mind paying for trash pickup provided the county figures out the disguting trash situation at the dumpster sites. Power's road is awful people from other counties constantly placing their garbage there and bunches of building materials, trees you name it. No security fence, around it nothing at all to prevent surrounding county using. The dirt road on Powers is the Pitts. Somebody from the county finally got off their butt last week and basically threw/push dirt around. Albert Lampkin was not touched at all. WE PAY TAXES TO AND DEMAND SOMETHING BE DONE. I have a son who rides the school bus on Albert Lampkin (Dodge County Side) as well as other parents - Do something. Quit wasting county money and honstly do something for a change for the better.

Maybe if they would quit arresting everyone in sight and quit holding them for months we wouldn't have this problem.
