Morality is doing what is right regardless of what is taught.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but your idea that morality is provided by the Bible is incorrect entirely. Suffice it to say that I neither need god nor the Bible to be a moral and upstanding individual, in fact I would say it is my understanding of the fallacies of the Bible that have helped to shape a superior moral environment for myself.

Regarding school prayer, I can't imagine that today in America people believe that their children should be guided in prayer by an adult. No one, at any time, has banned prayer in schools...it is simply not a requirement any longer and students still pray on their own time while at school. I know this because when I was still a Christian and in high school I not only studied my Bible regularly whilst there, but I also had multiple prayer circles that I participated in throughout the week.

How would you feel if a Muslim or a Hindi were leading prayers to their gods in a classroom where your child sat? That is exactly how I, an atheist, would feel about my child being lead in prayer by a Christian or any other religious person.

We don't need faith in this country sir, we need reason and lots of it. Until folks like yourself learn that freedom doesn't come from your god or any other and that it does come from within ourselves we will continue to sit in the bilious situations that we find ourselves in.

Dear Editor, I would just like to give my opinion and remarks to the growing problem
of crime in this country. When a country looses its moral and ethetical values it is
because of the way a person is raised by parents. We have allowed prayer to be taken
out of school and parents will not require their childern to go and learn Gods teaching
from the bible. A person that does not know
Gods word will do what he or she thinks is right in their own mind. The bible says that
faith comes by hearing and hearing from Gods word. (Romans 10-17) How long will it take people to realize Gods word has the answer to
the growing problem of SIN.

I'm with you 100% on the wages that waitresses should be getting here. Times are too hard and jobs are very few. We all need to think about helping out in this country and each other. We have people right here in Ga. that are homeless not because they want to be, it's because of no jobs here for us and the money that is here everyone is holding onto. the News papers and Tv stations want us to send our money over seas to the starving people. What about your friends and neighbors right here next to you that need the money for the jobs we do for you in our work places.We should be making more than 3.00 but GA> don't want it that way. WE VOTE them IN we can VOTE them OUT of OFFICE.

President Obama is our president, no matter where he was born. We should have more positive things fed to our minds because we cannot change the situation until election time. Even if he was born in Ga or China we would still have something to say about where he was born so instead of me spending any more time with this foolishness I am going to the white house to ask for more money so Eastman Ga cannot create jobs for those who want to work.
