There are 80 registered sex offenders in Dodge County. Out of those 80, 65 involved offenses against minors. This, in my opinion, is a major problem that is going unnoticed or overlooked by the majority of citizens.
I am not a numbers man, but the ratio of Dodge County citizens per sex offender is 170 to one and Eastman’s ratio is 69 to one. That means there is one sex offender for every 170 Dodge County citizens and one sex offender for every 69 Eastman citizens. According to the numbers, if you are in Wal-Mart and there are 140 people in there, two of them are sex offenders. If there are 300 people at the recreation department or a high school football game, that number doubles and there are more children exposed. What is the problem here? What is the solution?
“The serial killer has the same personality characteristics as the sex offender against children,” says Dr. Mace Knapp, a Nevada State Prison Psychologist.
