Dear editor,
Each day in Georgia, physicians, nurses and other health care providers go to work in our hospitals, nursing centers or private office practices to care for patients with a variety of health needs. This practice of medicine occurs 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days per year; because illnesses and injuries don’t take a holiday. Without thinking twice, patients visit emergency departments and provider practices to seek care, and that need is met by the dedicated individuals who serve our communities as front-line heroes to ensure your health and safety.
During this global pandemic of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, these health care providers, hospitals, and nursing centers are still open and providing the same compassionate care as always, but this public health emergency is different. This new virus has spread rapidly across the world, and the general public and health care workers are placed in harm’s way each time a person chooses to attend large gatherings, visit elderly family members, or widen their circle of personal interaction with friends, family and neighbors. These practices lead to increased exposure and viral spread, which places an additional burden on our increasingly strained health care system.
It is up to Georgia’s citizens to accept personal responsibility and adhere to best practices during this outbreak such as staying home, avoiding large groups and limiting interactions with friends and family to those that do not involve close personal contact. As our hospitals and providers fight to maintain control over COVID-19, increased patient volumes and added exposure to health care staff will threaten the foundation of our health care system. We must all make the personal choice to protect our nurses, physicians, hospitals, and nursing centers by taking steps to ensure that the next COVID-19 patient isn’t one of us.
Health care providers are bravely assuming great personal risk each day as they care for the sick. Hospitals are making room and accommodating growing numbers of patients as they continue to maintain a safe haven for the public. Georgia’s citizens can do their part by following the advice of Governor Kemp and DPH Commissioner Dr. Toomey including avoiding large crowds and staying at home whenever possible. Personal responsibility also includes holding your friends, family and neighbors accountable to these same standards as we all fight to stop the spread of COVID-19 together. Help protect your health care professionals, hospitals, and nursing centers by making the personal choice to socially distance in order to reduce or eliminate potential exposure to COVID-19 for yourself and those you are closest to. The health care community thanks you for being personally responsible and doing your part to end this COVID-19 Public Health Emergency; these choices, whatever they may be, will have a far-reaching effect. Let’s all work together to protect Georgia’s health care providers and hospitals while they protect us.

R.I.P. Kenny Rogers. I used to see him watching his twin sons play baseball at NYO (Northside Youth Organization) in Atlanta. My grandsons played sports there and went to elementary school with the Rogers twins. Every time I saw Kenny’s kids playing he was there, good father, nice fellow.

Dear editor,
Today we return to Capitol Hill for Crossover Day. We will be in session until midnight as Crossover Day is the last day we can pass bills from our chamber and have enough time for the bill to go through the legislative process on the Senate side prior to our day 40 deadline.
In addition to our regularly scheduled session last week, our Georgia Secretary of State also hosted qualifying week for the upcoming election cycle. After much prayer, consideration and family discussion, I have decided not to seek re-election as your representative within the Georgia General Assembly.
I cannot tell you what an honor it has been over the years to serve our home community. Growing up, I never imagined that I would have the chance to do so, but by the grace of God, I was granted that privilege. Our family sincerely appreciates the guidance, wisdom and much needed prayers so many have lent over the years and we are grateful to have gained your unwavering support. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the wonderful blessing of allowing me to serve you and our home during my time in the Georgia General Assembly.
I will remain your representative until January of 2021, at which point your new representative will be sworn into office. Casey and I plan to continue our service in the community in the future and we look forward to spending more time with all of you while doing so.
Please, if you need anything at all, let me know. Thank you for your continued support and much needed prayers. It is an honor to serve you.

Bad move DJT
While coaching at Ole Miss, opportunistic Tommy Tuberville denied looking at other coaching jobs, stating “They’ll have to carry me out of here in a pine box.” Two days later he left to coach at Auburn.
Tuberville has a considerable net worth, owns several houses in Florida and Alabama and apparently contributed nothing to Donald Trump’s campaign, yet got Trump’s endorsement - bad move DJT.
Savvy writer John Derbyshire (VDare.com and JohnDerbyshire.com) describes Tuberville as an “Open Borders RINO.” Jeff Sessions calls him “Florida Man,” an apt description. Tuberville is easy to manipulate, as he proved when he supported the ban on Confederate flags in the football stadium at Ole Miss.
“One of the biggest black marks against Donald Trump is his despicable treatment of Jeff Sessions…What you can’t dispute is that Trump has been conducting a low, mean, spiteful personal vendetta against one of his earliest and most loyal supporters.”
John Derbyshire on VDare.com 3-11-20
If I lived in Alabama I would vote for Jeff Sessions in the March 31 runoff. He has a proven voting record and a good one. His opponent is a big question mark.
Time zips by. How old are these ladies now? Juanita Broaddrick (Juanita Broaddrick.com) is 77; Kathleen Willey, 73; Gennifer Flowers, 70; Linda Tripp, 70; Paula Jones, 53, Monica Lewinsky, 46.

Always be careful with your vote. Slow Joe Biden has been on the public payroll all his adult life, first elected to the U.S. Senate when he was age 30 in 1972.

Dear editor:
As a retired police officer, fire fighter/EMT, I have seen firsthand trauma and infected people with of sickness of diseases.
So for me personally, I am unusually unconcerned with the hectic and breathless news reports of the next pandemic that are supposed to wipe out the planet. Every year, like Ebola, or SARS, despite the fact that our own regular old boring flu has killed 40 kids in this past season.
However, there are some differences going on here with the Corona-virus that prompted me to write this opinion letter of mine. I don’t believe this is a world killer either. But in less than a few weeks we are seeing some significant points with this one particular virus, and that is, the apparent ability to enter both cold blooded and warm blooded host (animals) and pass from one to another. i.e. it’s been reported that highly venomous snakes in China may be the original vector.
The snake inherently hunts bats, and it’s believed that some of the people who were originally infected with this virus got it from eating live bats and the snakes in that geographic region of China. It’s not uncommon for dangerous diseases to spread from these animals to humans in bush markets.
Then of course, some of these people enter the United States illegally. There’s an old maxim here: “You reap what you sow”. America, for about 20 years now, has been letting in every undesirable human being from all over the world, and with the illegals jumping the border with no consequences.
America, you now will receive the same problem you created in letting in these heathens. Of course, it’s the politically correct thing to do now. And may I add too, it’s future Democrat vote.
Now since Georgia is overwhelmingly “Blue” Democrat voter base, I suggest that you buy out bleach and surgical masks off the shelves at Walmart; your time is near my friends.

TRUMP the media 2020
Remember “one for 49 John” Kasich – he won only his own state, reminds Trump Republican Corey Lewandowski.
Donald Trump is the anti-media man and his strategy is working. The politicians big media praise are the ones we should reject.
Bumper sticker of the day: TRUMP the media 2020.
Liz Warren quits the race. Donald Trump is now the youngest candidate in the race, except Tulsi Gabbard, whose campaign is dormant. TheLibertyDaily.com says, “Pocahontas Surrenders.”
Maybe Liz was staying in the race just to get rid of Mike Bloomberg. Mini Mike has now left the building and Liz quickly followed, being no longer needed.
Virginia Democrats pass gun control in the legislature; gun sales surge.
Mayor Pete “told a woman in Iowa – on camera, to her face, if she’s pro-life she has no home in the party.”
Curtis Stigall on Townhall.com 3-5-20
Curtis Stigall adds in the same column: “Socialism softly sold is what the Democrats have done well for years.”
“Trump has a killer instinct. Bernie is just a Ben and Jerry’s Revolutionist.”
Mark Steyn on the Rush Limbaugh
show. Steynonline.com
Trump does have fine political instincts, especially for a first-time candidate. Maybe this year makes him a second time candidate. Compare him to Newt Gingrich, who has been around for many years and still makes mistakes because of his goofy streak, sort of like the Bush crowd. Goofiness runs in the Bush family.
Mark Steyn says Crazy Joe will dispose of Bernie quickly unless Bernie hangs Biden’s Ukranian corruption around his neck. Bernie should do so.

Dear editor,
With utmost sincerity, I thank you Dodge County, for your continued support and trust to serve you over the past 30 years.
You have allowed me to serve your children as a paraprofessional, teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal. It has truly been an honor. We have a great school system with great administrators, teachers, students, and parents. You all have made my career wonderful and memorable.
Thank you to the faculty, staff, and students that I have had the opportunity to work with and serve over the years. I wish our school system continued blessings and success. We have a strong school system as well as community and my prayer is that we all continue to make it stronger.
I could not have experienced such a successful and blessed career without all of your prayers and support. Thank you for your kind words, cards, thoughts, prayers, gifts, phone calls, visits, and well wishes over the years. It makes me proud to be part of the loving community that we live in.
As I enter into retirement and the next level of awesome adventures I pray that God continues to bless Our Community and Our School System.

Dear editor,
I just want you to know, I am blessed and thankful to be a citizen of Eastman.
I hope that the life style that I have lived has made Eastman just a little better than I found it. My objective is to make the lives of the younger generation better, by the example I set. The number one problem with our younger generation stems from their first school.
The home, which seems no longer an institution of morality with biological parents. Like most of the nation I hope that Eastman does not fall pray to slavery and cancer. When I say slavery I am speaking of sin and cancer, it is a condition of the mind for those who care.
Eastman must never turn away from the creator. America does not need God Bless America; God has blessed America for two hundred and forty five years. It’s time for America to bless God through his son. President Nixon stated that no nation could continue to exist without God and the bible.
Eastman must ask the question, what are our greatest needs? If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent you an economist. If it had been pleasure, he would have sent you an entertainer. But your greatest need was forgiveness, so he sent you a savior, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Eastman just look at the history to prevent past mistakes and to God for guidance. Eastman, aren’t you glad that man did not create you, it was our Lord and Savior and he knows who I am. Lord bless.

Remember the van crashing into a Republican Party voter registration tent in Jacksonville, Florida, driven by unhinged leftist 27-year-old Gregory Timm, almost hitting several occupants inside the tent? Big media failed to pay attention to it since it didn’t have the narrative they were looking for. NBC mentioned it for a few seconds while the other networks (except Fox) ignored it. Mr. Timm was still in jail when this comment was written. The sight of a Trump sign sets violent people off. The is a lack of leftist impulse control and ignorance sweeping the land.
Could we have a Bloomberg/Clinton ticket in 2020? Mike Bloomberg says he is considering Hillary to be his running mate. For a party with supposedly new ideas, the Democrats keep sending us retreads. They are still the party of free stuff, confiscated from those who produce the freebies.
Bumper sticker of the day: LIBERTY is not negotiable.
Roger Stone (StoneZone.com) is another target of the vengeful left. The police tipped off CNN (Clinton News Network) to send a camera crew to be there at 5:50 a.m. for the planned raid. It was political overkill, guns drawn as the police swarmed around the Florida property. Roger’s enemies were screaming outside at his spurious indictment, shouting him down as he talked with reporters outside the court. Some jurors have already admitted that they considered him guilty at the outset and should have been dismissed from the jury pool. He should receive a pardon in the case.
Townhall.com columnist Rachel Alexander is always a good read. I doubt you will ever find her column in a newspaper.
New York and California are miserably-run states. Unfortunately, they aren’t the only ones.
“Never tell your problems to anyone. Twenty percent don’t care and the other 80% are glad you have them.”
Coach Lou Holtz
Democrats can’t win on the issues so they try to alter the demography of the USA, says Victor Davis Hanson. They know illegal aliens are pre-Democrats.
All Democrats running for president in 2020 are socialists and Bernie Sanders admits he is. So should the others. The rest try to avoid the socialist tag. Maybe we need truth in advertising to apply to politicians also.

Dear editor,
Who really should impeached?
The senate has a moral responsibility to begin an investigation of political lawlessness. Much of American public is outraged and disgusted at the current vile unlawful attempt to usurp our constitution and destroy the executive branch of our government. Treason has overcome reason. The hateful rhetoric and behavior of Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and a host of other pathological prevaricators has gone beyond the limits one would expect of people who vowed, but lost their way in defending our constitution. Secret illegal partisan meetings were being held to prevent transparency. The truth was purposely withheld from the public and Republican lawyers in the president’s impeachment trial.
Our Democracy is becoming a shamble and our effectiveness as the greatest country in the world is being compromised by these snakes, the democrat politicians. That feckless former vice president Joe Biden and his dope dealing son, “Hunter” should be held accountable for their criminal activities. Hunter Biden was dishonorably discharged from the navy for his cocaine use and dealings. That should speak volumes about that skunk. There’s old saying, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” Do the math. “Joe Biden”. Old Joe has already admitted that he was involved in the Ukraine cover up. This is the tip of the iceberg. Dozen of other officials dating back to Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama/Hillary Clinton era have broken the laws and not held accountable for their actions.
The solution! The Senate leaders need to immediately send a message to these past political criminals. This is a moral responsibility. But don’t hold your breath. This is 21st Century America where a plurality of Americans throw GOD under the bus with their perverted behavior, selfishness, greed, and pure doggone stupidity in education and common sense. Hey, remember? Perverted men now get a pass to go into the women bathroom to do. USE YOUR IMAGINATION on that one. The law is on their side now. Again folks, thank a democrat politician, and yes, their voting base too!

I’m pulling for Rush Limbaugh
In the Iowa Demo left caucus voting PEW (Pocahontas Elizabeth Warren) finished fifth in her namesake county, Pocahontas County, Iowa.
I’m pulling for Rush Limbaugh and can’t believe the snide comments I hear from leftists about him. Rush single-handedly started a competitive media and created great careers for many who followed his lead. The man is a great talent. He’s actually a great fellow in person, many have told me and so is his younger brother David Limbaugh.
Whatever became of Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser Professor Christine Ford? She took her million dollar Go Fund Me account and disappeared – easy money. Concoct big lies get cover from the media left while getting big bucks from the brainwashed leftists. Any Democrat running for office should be questioned about whether Prof. Ford’s preposterous charges against the judge were true. Their answers would be interesting. No Democrat questioned her amazing tale during the hearings. Remember Jimmy Carter ? He recently claimed in an appearance at Emory University in Atlanta that he believed her story. Jimmy is even loonier than I thought.
In the Republican Iowa Caucus vote Donald Trump took over 97% of the vote. It was D.J Trump 31,424, William Weld 425, Joe Walsh 349.

On the Trump train
Don’t forget, Senator Lindsey Graham (R – S.C.) was a Never-Trumper for a long time:
“As a party, we are better to risk losing without Donald Trump than trying to win with him.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham 9-19-2015
Ann Coulter has far better political instincts than Lindsey, who sounds completely different today – he’s all in on the Trump Train now.
Graham is far from the only one who figured it wrong. George Will, overrated bad predictor and phony conservative for years hanging around the D.C. swamp, claimed Trump had no chance of winning, and said the same about Ronald Reagan as far back as 1974. Will claimed the Republicans’ best hope to win the presidency in 1980 was to nominate Howard Baker, a liberal Republican. He said Reagan was too old in 1974 (he was 63, born in 1911) and was in great shape. Look at the ages and condition of today’s contenders. Check Will’s picks and bet the other way.
“Trump has squeezed two terms’ worth of wins into 3 years as President.”
Deroy Murdock on Newsmax.com 1-7-20
“Liberals hate our guts and it is a challenge not to return that sentiment.”
Saberpoint.blogspot.com 9-23-15
Matt Whitaker, former U.S. acting attorney general and frequent Fox Network guest, is very sharp and always refers to the USA as a republic – correctly. Why do so many Republicans incorrectly call the country a democracy? Democrats call it that, but why don’t Republicans know better?
Rep. Adam Schiff calls President Trump “a wrathful and vindictive president” so maybe DJT is just what we need. He has the correct enemies, such as Schiff and his cohorts. And whatever became of leftwing Professor Christine Ford, who sought to derail the Judge Kavanaugh nomination? It would be interesting to ask Democrats running for office if they believed Ms. Ford’s outrageous lies. None appeared to criticize her at the time. Good ol’ Jimmy Carter said he believed her. Many other Democrats agreed with Jimmy, which shows how many Democrats are crazy.

Dear editor:
Does anyone remember when the water tower by Harveys had “I love ‘Becky’” painted on it? Does anyone know who ‘Becky’ was or who the brave young man was that climbed the tower and painted it?
I was saddened when the city painted over it. Guess somebody thought it didn’t look good, but I bet it did to ‘Becky’.
