President Obama claimed the Caterpillar Company would rehire laid-off workers if his stimulus plan were passed. It passed but Caterpillar now plans to open a new factory in China instead.
Caterpillar, the world’s largest manufacturer of construction equipment with 2009 earning of $32.4 billion, headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, already has one plant operating in China and says it has a long-term plan for additional investments in China. At the National Prayer Breakfast, President Obama paid tribute to a U.S. Navy Corpsman, each time referring to him as a “corpse-man,” His teleprompter can’t do everything and the media let him get away with mispronouncing the word several times.

What if Bush (either one), Quayle or any Republican, any person to the right of John Kerry, had done this? I first read about it in National Review, March 8, 2010 issue but nowhere else at the time. Later it popped up, but only in conservative publications. [Full Story »]

Mick Jones, writing on the great website VDare.com, describes himself as a liberal on all issues but immigration. When he went against the open borders establishment on the subject of illegal immigration, he caught a lot of flack from the correctness crowd.

His fellow liberals blasted him. Liberals demand total adherence to their programs.
Mr. Jones says he received many hateful responses for his writings on the Huffington Post, a well-known liberal site. He correctly sees the destruction of America by the unchecked importation of Third World people. [Full Story »]

The National Rifle Association decided not to oppose Sonya “So So” Sotomayor for the Supreme Court. The NRA wimped out but Gun Owners of America (gunowners.org) fought the Sotomayor nomination.
