I open this response with an excerpt from a historically recent book entitled “Sophisms of the Protectionists” -F. Bastiat 1863, note the year, 1863, not 2003.
“We take from you again, in order to compensate you for what we have already taken.”
After reading the opening article entitled “Authority seeks more funds for airport” the “too big to fail” syndrome that has become a political vehicle to pillage this country, even further through taxation, of the present generation’s and its posterity of the value of a person’s labor. This book would open a person’s thoughts and clearly explain our present situation as a nation. The government budget process is nothing short of custom shackles being made to fit future generations.
