Australia, Ireland and Cuba all banned the 100 watt incandescent light bulb by the year 2010. Are we now following the lead of Communist Cuba? The incandescent bulb phase-out is an example of government on your back, relentlessly regulating your behavior, as though you cannot think for yourself. You aren’t smart enough to make market choices, but must be cajoled into buying the “proper” product. I say buy the old ones while you still can. I have a bunch of them.

The low percentage of citizens who have signed up for Obamacare could become lower, as many of the few have not yet paid the pricey first month’s premium.
Senator Harry Reid and his gang of smear artist D.C. politicians get away with trashing their political enemies, using their immunity on the House and Senate floor under the Speech and Debate Clause in effect. They are careful not to repeat such hideous conduct outside the halls of Congress since the immunity goes away as soon as you leave the floor. Slander laws then take effect. Talk host Mark Levin says Reid and company should repeat their protected smears on the street where the words become actionable. I prefer Gun Owners of America (GunOwners.org) to the NRA. The NRA is crazy to play ball with Harry Reid. GOA would never back a sleazy character like Harry Reid. Reid runs the Senate today but would’ve been out of there entirely in 1998 but the Losertarian Party candidate tipped a close win to Reid - only a 424 vote difference statewide. [Full Story »]
The American soldier, who are they? They are men and women that have been prepared and gone to places they have never been to before without knowing if they will return alive. They stormed the beaches, provided and healed the wounded and fed the hungry while protecting them. They have made it possible for you and I to live in one of the greatest nations that ever existed.
Thousands have given their lives in helping to rebuild other nations. Reminders of what and who kept her a great nation the American soldier has always been ready and prepared to deploy to any part of the globe on a moments notice. For several years, many of our American soldiers have been returning with many kinds of wounds and various conditions. Some have conditions that we can see as well as those that we cannot see. There are still thousands that are willing to lay down their lives for the freedom of this nation as well as others.
