Remember the formerly great pro golfer Bubba Watson buying the legendary General Lee Dodge Charger of Dukes of Hazzard fame? The car had a Confederate flag painted on top and Bubba paid $110,000 for it. Bubba then decided to enter the political correctness appeasement no offense game and promptly painted over the iconic Southern flag, thus enacting the Curse of the General Lee. Bubba in years past won two Masters Tournaments but finished well back in the pack this year. The formerly dominant Bubba suddenly became an ordinary golfer after defacing the once impressive vehicle. Minus its distinguishing characteristics the car became just another blah looking Dodge, now unrecognizable as what it once was, sort of like Bubba’s recent golf game.
The Dukes of Hazzard series has disappeared from television and there is an active petition move underway to bring it back. Of course, the correctness freaks managing the networks are always running scared of the offense industry and are reluctant to reinstate the show.
