Lady Indians keep winning

The Lady Indians traveled to Hazlehurst to take on the Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets on Thursday, August 19. Dodge defeated Jeff Davis 3-0.
In last Monday’s game against Warner Robins, Caitlin Greer went 4-for-4 with a run batted in (RBI), a double and one stolen base; Brittany Sorrell was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBIs and one double; Ashton Holt was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a double; Adele Harrison was 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base; Jaye Hilliard was 1-for-4 with one run scored and a stolen base; Amitie Hussey had a sacrifice bunt; Jamie Michael Jones walked twice; Ashley Roland walked once; Hannah Moore had a sacrifice; Blakelyn Bundick had one stolen base with two runs scored; Katie Selph had two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Holt was the winning picture with 13 strikeouts in seven innings pitched allowing only three hits, three walks and no runs.
In the second game against the Lady Demons in Eastman on Wednesday, Holt was 3-for-3 with a run scored, three RBI, a sac fly and a double; Harrison was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBI, a homerun, a double and two stolen bases; Caitlin Greer was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases; Hussey was 1-for-1 with a stolen base; Bridgette Coleman was 1-for-3 with a run scored and four stolen bases; Jones was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk; Bundick was 1-for-1; Hilliard scored one run, walked once and stole two bases; Selph scored one run and stole one base; Claire Greer scored a run and stole a base and Jamye Yearty scored one run, had one RBI and a stolen base.

Holt was the winning pitcher with 10 strikeouts in six innings, allowing three hits and one run.

In a tight game with the Lady Jackets of Jeff Davis, Sorrell was 2-for-3 with a double; Coleman was 2-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and three stolen bases; Harrison was 1-for-3 with a run scored, a walk and two stolen bases; Caitlin Greer was 1-for-3 with a stolen base; Jones was 1-for-3 and stolen base; Holt had one RBI and a walk; Hilliard had a sacrifice bunt; Bundick had two stolen bases; Moore scored one run.
Holt again was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and allowing two hits and no runs.

The Lady Indians will participate in the International City Brawl Tournament this week starting Wednesday, August 25 through Saturday, August 28 in Warner Robins.

Their scheduled to play will be: Wednesday, August 25 at 4:30 against Warner Robins at Warner Robins High School; Thursday, August 26 at 5:30 p.m. against Coffee County at Houston County High School; Friday, August 27 at 4:00 p.m. against Jeff Davis at Warner Robins High School and Saturday, August 28, diamond, gold, silver or bronze, seeds and side, to be announced.
