Dodge County commissioners voted unanimously to go ahead with a project to build a new public boat ramp on the Ocmulgee River.
This is the second time the commissioners have voted on the project.
The first time, the commissioners also voted to proceed with the project.
The reason the commissioners were asked to vote again is that Dodge County Commission Chairman Dan McCranie told the board that a man with a lot of money (Frank Wathall who owns property that will border the landing) does not want the landing built next to his property.
