Grisch Matthias Denmark (42), of Wesley, Florida, has turned himself in to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Denmark, a civil IT employee with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Tampa, Florida office, has been charged with felony theft by taking.

According to the sheriff’s office, he allegedly stole a registered German short hair bird dog, valued at $850.00, from a property on Jim Ross Road.

Denmark was a member of a hunting club that leased property in Dodge County.

Dodge County deputies have arrested Willie Shivers (48), of Chester, and have charged him with felony theft by taking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shivers allegedly stole some scrap metal from a residence on the Chester Road.

Dodge deputies have arrested Erika McCoy (39), and James McRae (41), both of McRae. The couple has been charged with burglaries of the Cofield and Linder Farms in Dodge County. Both have been charged with felony theft by taking. The sheriff’s office said that more arrests are pending in the burglaries.

Sheriff Jeff Hinson doesn't play. He arrests his own deputies and even the FBI when they do wrong in Dodge County. We have finally gotten a GOOD ethical Sheriff.

Sheriff Jeff Hinson should go down in the history books as being one of the most outstanding Sheriffs that Dodge County has ever had because of his GOOD ethical work skills. He deserves to be RE-ELECTED another term. IT has been a pleasure for me to read about him when it comes to one combating crime the way he has with what resources he has to work with to get the job done. Most government (local) agencies are operating on a tight budget.

Sheriff Hinson might be new at his job but he sure is throwing some good punches to combat crime. I will continue to say GO JEFF do your thing. RELECT SHERIFF JEFF HINSON he has a job to do and he is doing a GREAT JOb.

Jeff is not new to it He has been in Law Enforcment over 32 years and continues to have great ethics and honesty.

I am the author of post #3. I lived in Eastman/Dodge county for over 30 years. I was and still am friends with many of the people that have been involved in the politics of that county. And I am sad to say that a a whole, I am sorely disappointed in just about every one of them. They were all good, upstanding people and went into their office with the best intentions imaginable. Only to let their morals fall by the wayside to serve interests of certain groups, or for their own personal gain.
I know Jeff personally, as an acquaintance, not a close friend. And I do honestly hope that he can stick to the convictions that he has demonstrated so far.
I follow what goes on in your county pretty closely, as I still have a lot of family there and visit regularly. I am also very close friends with some of the present and past members of the Police Dept. and the Sheriff's Dept. and it does sadden me to say that I have seen irregularities take place on more than one occasion. Believe me when I say I will continue to follow it closely.

As a retired police officer I will just say, that Lady Justice has a blindfold over her eyes. That means that everyone is treated equal when it comes to justice.

Sheriff Andy Griffith says that law man should have gone on about his business beause we have enough trouble of our own and that we don't need no outsider stirring up trouble in our town of Mayberry.(Smile)
