Qualifying for school board District 4 begins

Two candidates have qualified to run for the special election called by Dodge County Probate Judge John Kelly for Dodge County School Board District 4.

Richard “Ricky” Hargrove and Kahn T. Wahl qualified for the position, currently held by Betsy Thomas, before press time on Tuesday.

District 4 voters include the following precincts: Chauncey, Clarks, Jaybird, a portion of Jones, a portion of Milan, a portion of McCranie and a portion of Lee.

The special election was called because of the resignation of Michelle Wahl.

Qualifying for the position closes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. The qualifying fee is $117.00.

The special election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
