Davis, Floyd and Brooks win big at speedway

Ussery was second followed by Earl Lord of Dublin, Wally Johnson and McKenzie Floyd, also starting the race from outside of row two, then worked himself into the lead in the most competitive race of the night.

Finishing behind Floyd was Lance Floyd of Cochran, Brent Herndon and Allen Wilkerson of Wrightsville and Rodney Marcus of Dublin.

Veteran Dublin driver Keith Brooks won the Pro-Air Supply Late Model feature in the Dublin-Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Ford racer, giving Ford it’s first feature win since the speedway went “Back to Dirt” in the 2009 season.

After qualifying for his first pole of the season, Brooks led last week’s winner Eric Register of Dexter, Ricky Brantley of Ailey, Mitchell Meeks of Soperton and Michael Slater of Stillmore across the finish line in an action packed event. Sam Ussery of Dublin won the Bomber Feature followed by Matt Peebles of Montrose, Jordan Dykes of Dublin, Wes Miller of Vidalia and Jason Evans of Dublin.

In the Road Warrior Division Dalton Poole edged out Tyler Mimbs of East Dublin, Cory Howell of Soperton, Elijah Gonzales of Bartow, and Marlee Towns of Eastman.
