The Dodge County Lady Indians split games with East Laurens and West Laurens at home last week.
Dodge defeated the Lady Falcons of East Laurens in a region game 11-1 in five innings and lost to West Laurens 3-6 in a non-region game. The Lady Indians are now 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the sub-region.
Lady Indians split games with Laurens County teams
Leading batters for Dodge against East Laurens were: Adele Harrison was 2-for-2 with a run scored; Ashton Holt was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI; Nisha Walker was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBI; Callie Eckles was 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored; Danielle Rogers was 1-for-2 with a run scored; and Blakelyn Bundick was 1-for-2 with a run scored and Bridgette Coleman had a hit and one RBI. Ashton Holt was the winning pitcher.
In the Wednesday, August 26 game with the Lady Raiders of West Laurens the leading batters for Dodge were: Nisha Walker was 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored; Jaye Hilliard was 2-for-4; Ashton Holt hit a double; Crystal Ward had a bunt single; Danielle Rogers and Tiffany Knowles each scored a run.
The Lady Indians had a makeup game scheduled with Dublin at home on Tuesday, September 1 at 5:00 p.m. and will travel to Bleckley County Thursday, September 3 at 5:00 p.m. and then return home on Tuesday, September 8 at 5:30 p.m. against Toombs County.
