The State Crime Lab has verified the identity of a body found floating in a private lake in Dodge County on Monday night, July 5, 2010.

The person found dead in the lake was Enrique “Ricky” Lopez (age 21) of Eastman, according to law enforcement officials.

The body was identified through fingerprint identification methods at the lab.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Lopez died as a result of drowning.

There was no evidence of foul play involved according to officials.

Toxicology results are pending and will take several months to be completed by the crime lab.

The case can not be officially closed until all lab tests from the state are completed and verified.

Lopez was last seen alive last Saturday allegedly intoxicated at an adjacent trailer park next to the lake on Reedy Branch Road, where Lopez’s body was found according to investigators.
