In April 2009, a new flu virus, also known as “swine flu”, was identified and has since infected 33,902 people and killed 170 people in the United States alone. That virus has recently taken hold in Dodge County.
At first glance it seemed the swine flu (H1N1) was destined to become the next bubonic plague, but due to extensive study of the new strain, the swine flu has become even less serious than common influenza.

One death in a thousand seems to be less than ordinary flu. It means also that some people are just not aware that they are sick and don't listen to doctor's orders. One in a thousand is just like being hit by a car on the street - it could happen, but will it happen today?

Ha! Seems like a "medical doctor" did not write this article..Yes "swine flu" aka - H1N1..Is not that serious. It has its "quirks" such as- Pneumonia. You CAN DIE from pneumonia. Also from swine flu..High fever. As we all learned in school, high fever = Organ failure. Another less serious symptom that can kill you, is dehydration. If you vomit or have diarrhea, if you do not drink enough water, you can dehydrate, and die...Thought you all should know.
