In the last week, the president made a good example of the blame game by saying “ When he finds out when someone did not do their job, he is going to kick their A _ _ out.” Is that a nice thing to say? One would think he would have more common sense than to say that. Sadly to say though, I believe common sense is in short supply in Washington, D.C. Almost everyday I read or see on the television where some of our elected officials have stuck his for her foot in their mouth up to their knee with some outrageous statement.
Vice President Joe Biden recently said in an off the cuff remark to Obama, “F _ _ _ _ _ _ good job.” This was after the new health bill was passed. One often sees or hears the N _ _ _ _ _ word used. These people are highly educated people, that we elect to represent us in Washington D.C. Too often we wonder do they have any common sense. Has anyone noticed that when a politician sees a tape of some remark that is embarrassing to him, he calls a press conference to get on a camera to say how sorry he is and apologizes over and over. Had he used any common sense, he would not have made a fool of himself in the first place. But he never fails to inject politics by saying he has worked hard for the people he represents and says, “if you, the voters, will return me to my office I will work even harder for you.”
In my opinion the voters have woken up and already some long-term politicians will not be on a ballot in November 2010. Maybe we can elect someone with more common sense.
