Middle school students receive awards at their annual athletic program

Dodge County Middle School held its athletic awards program in the school gymnasium on Thursday, May 27.

Football awards were given to Romello Cummings, Mason Veal, Hunter Graham, Jamarius Black, Kelby Amerson, Zalen Floyd, Russell Fruitrail, Dalton Rogers, Josh Edwards, Cole Honeycutt, and Derick Rogers.

Soccer awards were given to Alex Alejos, Cole Honeycutt, Greg Pittman, and Luke Taylor.

Baseball awards were given to Derick Rogers, Josh Perdue, Jonathan Perdue, Lane Crummey, Cane Peterson, Andrew Hardy, Austen Clements, and Daython Sheffield.

Cheerleading awards were given to Erica Smokes, Anna Kate Hickman, Jaycie Rollins, Alicia Lindsey, Abby Yawn, Caitlin Martin, and Macy Coleman.

Archery awards were given to Justin Frost, Will Sanders, BreAnna Lafavor, Willis Tanner, Cole Clements, and Joshua Peterson.

Boys tennis awards were given to Dallas Hardin, Seth Crosby, and Kirby Miller.

Girls tennis awards were given to Taylor Thomas, Annie Moore, Lila Coleman, and Chelsea Barrentine.

Boys basketball awards were given to Rodney Woods, Romello Cummings, Tavon Rozier, Anthony Montford, & Josh Edwards.

Girls basketball awards were given to Da’Vina Clark, Javonna Collins, Katie Selph, Rachel Selph, Asia Jones, Annie Moore, Ty Northcutt, and Markesha McCloud.

Wrestling awards were given to Jacob Danforth, Cole Honeycutt, Tad Honeycutt, and Brandon Roland.

Students receiving awards in track and golf will be printed in next week’s edition of The Dodge County News.
