Why is Deputy Smith being put in the spotlight and only a couple weeks ago a Telfair Co Deputy was arrested at Kerrigans Night Club in Lyons and got into an altercation with police? Maybe Dodge County News needs to submit an Open records Request to Lyons Police Department and Cover that story too.

You should send this to 13WMAZ, not the Dodge County News (I think the name implies the reason behind not covering an incident with Telfair Co. Officers)

Ok, with all of this transparency in government now, why not make everything fair across the board. If Deputy Smith's business is going to be aired all over the news. WMAZ shouldn't neglect to bring to light the fact that One of Telfair County's Deputies was arrested at Kerrigans Night Club in Lyons a couple of weeks ago for fighting with bouncers and resisting arrest with Lyons Police. He was taken down, charged, and booked. Somehow that failed to get told. WMAZ, sounds like you need to file an open records request with Lyons PD. Whats fair is fair. Seems to be a little BIGGER NEWS when a cop actually gets arrested, rather than under investigation.

I think deputy Dean Smith is a grat officer for Dodge County.. Alot of people try to start with a person that is "in the public eye" i know this cause ive been there. It doesnt seem fair to me that this outstanding law enforcement officer has benn suspended when the person that is accusing him of this violent act has been a regular at the Dodge County Jail for some years now. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I have been saying all along that Andy Griffith and Barney Fife is comming to Mayberry(Eastman Ga). So you folks just hold on until they finish an assignment concerning Otis they are comming. On a lighter note God help us all we do need enforcement to keep us safe, I don't know about anyone else but I feel safe here. The larger cities are full of crime so please let us all not get so bent out of shape over this incident. I am sure we have bigger fish in our ponds to catch.
