“The media’s beloved Obama failed to carry Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi. Those states, alien (if not enemy) territory, are simply of minor importance. It’s just hard to feel those folks’ pain.”
Larry Elder on Townhall.com

You could say vote for me and I’ll give you something. Another example is Oklahoma, which went almost 2/3 for McCain in 2008. How much concern do you suppose the O Man has for the recent tornado victims there? Perhaps zippo?
Flyover country doesn’t interest O - he concentrates on the coasts, where he was popular at election time.
John McCain is running a laughable television commercial in which he implores Arizona to finish “the dang fence,” tough talk for a panderer like McCain. John “Quick Draw” McCain, the Arizona joke. Let’s hope voters there are catching on.
McCain was proud of his earlier efforts to grant amnesty to illegals and probably still is. That position is wildly unpopular these days and McCain has noticed - presto - he touts his new support for shoring up and fencing the border. It’s election time in Arizona and McCain needs to rework his image yet again to get another six year term to kick the gullible voters around. He knows that over half the illegals in the United States came through Arizona.
Challenger J.D. Hayworth calls McCain’s changing positions “election year conversions.” Go J.D.!
As usual, Texas Fred (TexasFred.net) has it right on the Arizona immigration law:
“The real shame of this matter? The fact that a state should even have to consider enacting a law regarding ILLEGAL immigration.”
Just over one year ago, May 12, 2009, Charlie “Can’t Miss” Crist kicked off his campaign for the U.S. Senate and was quickly named the frontrunner. The Republican establishment rushed to embrace the surefire next Republican Senator. Marco Rubio overtook the vacillating Crist (vacillation is still legal in Florida) and sent Charlie to the Independent column exactly one year later, on May 12, 2010, his only chance to save his campaign. Of course, Charlie denied making the move away from the Republicans right up to the moment he made it.
Primary challenger Marco Rubio calls May 12 Shameless Politician Day, named for Charlie Crist, the day he went Independent, after repeatedly claiming he intended to always stay a Republican. Like many other pandering politicians, Charlie’s promises should come with expiration dates.
“My preference for a constitutional republic is nothing more than a fondness for the limits that a strong constitution can impose on power. Power is power no matter how you dress it up. What matters are the limits.”
Wendy McElroy in Liberty magazine June 2010 issue
Liberals like to compare activist conservatives to Nazis. They never compare them to Communists, maybe a protected class.
News headline reads: Mexican president condemns Arizona immigration law. I say - good for Arizona!
“The bank bailout was written at midnight and passed the next day,” says U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Rand Paul of Kentucky.

Democrats always reject valid ID for voting - of course!
