On Saturday, April 9, 2016, thirteen Dodge County 4-H’ers, traveled to Rock Eagle 4-H Center with their coaches and parents to compete in the 4-H State BB Competition. Over 700 4-H’ers from across the state participated in the event.
Hayden Davis brought home the highest overall county score, highest county “prone” position score, tied for highest county “sitting” score with Javan Smith and also tied for highest county test score with Kadee Walker. Hayden also brought home State first place OVERALL in the kneeling position out of over 700 competitors! Javan Smith had highest county standing score and as mentioned above tied with Hayden Davis with highest county sitting score.
Kadee Walker, as mentioned above, also tied with Hayden Davis for the highest county test score.
Team 1 consisted of Rebecca Bowling, Hayden Davis, Cameron Gooch, Reagan Graham, Javan Smith, Kadee Walker and Gabriel Williams, placed 23rd out of nearly 100 teams.
Team 2 consisted of Hailey Arnold, Tayqawn Austin, Chase Bowling, Allena Burch, Katelynn Johnson and Gavin Tripp.
