The Indians hosted the Toombs County Bulldogs in a region game on March 29. Craig Barton was the starting pitcher and had a great day on the mound. Barton pitched the complete game going seven innings allowing only one run on five hits while striking out five and allowing no walks. Chip Burch was two for three with two RBI’s, Ethan Rice was one for three with a double and an RIB, Tyler Pruett one for two, Chandler Davis one for three, Clint Thompson for three and JT Shields one for three. The Indians split with Toombs for the year winning this one 3-1.
The Indians hosted Tattnall County for another important region match up on March 31. JT Shields was the starting pitcher for the Indians. Shields pitched five one /third innings allowing six runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out six and walking two. Tyler Pruett pitched one two/three innings of relief allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit while striking out two and walking one. Cameron Coleman was two for three with a double, Clint Thompson two for one four, JT Shields one for three with a double, Aaron Kitchens one for three, Chandler Davis one for four with a RIB, Chip Burch one for four, and Tyler Pruett also had a RIB. The Indians left seven men on base and lose the game 8-4.
