All of you mothers, soon to be mothers or just a woman planning to be an inspiration in someone’s life: This is for you!
In 2 Timothy is a letter from Paul to Timothy, giving God thanks for him commending him on his sincere trust or faith that was passed down through his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice, who first had the trust (2 Timothy 1:5) and Paul was convinced Timothy had that same genuine faith or trust. I refer to trust a lot when faith is mentioned because it brings me to a deeper understanding of what kind of connection I have with my precious Jesus. From this, you can count on that Timothy’s mother and grandmother taught him the genuine trust he should have in our Lord Jesus throughout his childhood that had a huge impact on his life. That would have to mean they were not pretenders of holiness while only being watched. They lived their life that way and demonstrated in their circumstances true worship and trust for out Lord!
Us mothers, as well as just women in general, should show the same trust in God as they did. I’m sure you have heard of “actions speak louder than words.” It’s true! You can say you trust God all you want to, but until you demonstrate that trust, your words won’t have any weight or impact with your children.
I have learned from experience. The more I prayed with them over any circumstance and they witnessed that trust working in our lives and answered prayers, a manifestation of their trust and commitment to God showed. With our great spirit, lead pastor and wife duo for the teaching of adults and children, our family is forever changed and blessed.
We have more of an impact on our children than anyone. What they see is what they do.
This isn’t the direction I planned to go in and I could definitely pour more of my heart out in a lot of areas.
I am confident this will be enough to make an impact on someone’s life. Maybe next time I can share the most beautiful sermon from our pastor Jerry Duskin.
With unconditional love to everyone, have a great week.
