The Dodge County High School (DCHS) Grappling Indians recently traveled to Treutlen County to compete against 16 wrestling teams from across Georgia. After two days of stiff competition, five Indians managed to earn seeds into the medal rounds.
At 132 pounds, Christian Grauberger, earned a third place finish with a record of six and one. At 145 pounds, Tyler McDonald fought his way into the championship match and brought home a silver medal.
At 152 pounds, Jared Cannon scrapped his way through a tough bracket and placed third with a final record of six and one. At 182 pounds, newcomer Tyler Montford, showed some real talent and brought home a fourth place medal. At 285 pounds, Aaron Spires carved out a record of six and one and finished with a third place medal.
As a team, the Grappling Indians placed sixth overall.
