The Dodge County High Lady Indian track team participated in the region 3AA tournament held at Southeast Bulloch High School last week. The Lady Indians had several team members who placed at region.
Michelle Mitchell finished in first place in the 100m winning the individual region championship in that even.
Ocie Smith placed second in the discus. Both Mitchell and Smith will be traveling to Albany on May 6, 2010 to participate in the State AA Track Meet.
Others placing at the region meet were: Lashonda Chambers finished fifth in the 100m hurdles; Shanteria Smith finished sixth in the 800m and Tarneisha Wright finished sixth in the 200m.
The girls’ track team is coached by Ricky Collins this year.

Congraulation to you young ladies, it reminds me of the days when my daughter was on the field. I wish God speed to Mithcell and Smith.
