So far, six candidates have qualified to run for the Dodge County Commission.
Five candidates are currently seeking District 2 and only one candidate, incumbent Brian Watkins, has qualified for District 3.
In District 2, the following (in alphabetical order) have qualified: Oliver C. “Pee Wee” Mann, Jesse Mincey, Terry Niblett, Danny Howard Warren and Raymond Yawn. (See photos at right. A photo of Mann was not available at presstime). Mann, Mincey and Yawn qualified as Democrats and Niblett and Warren qualified as Republicans. Incumbent Carl Hosford has stated that he will not seek reelection to the post.
Qualifying for the two commission seats closes at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 30. The qualifying fee is $90.00.
