Off-the-State-Route-System Safety Enhancement Project
Sealed proposals for furnishing all labor, material, equipment and services necessary to successfully accomplish the following work will be received by Dodge County (Board of Commissioners Office), P.O. Box 818, Eastman, Georgia 31023, until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Dodge County Board of Commissioners Office.
Project Description: The installation of traffic safety elements consisting of various roadway signing (Type 1 material, Type 3 and Type 9 Reflective Sheeting) using Type 7 and Type 9 square tube post; plus centerline and edge line roadway striping (both thermoplastic and paint); plus thermoplastic roadway stop bars. Removal of existing signs and posts to be replaced as part of this project will be the responsibility of Dodge County. Work is to be accomplished county-wide off-the-State-Route-System in Dodge County.
Contract Time: All work is to be accomplished by June 30, 2011.
DBE Goal: 10%
Bonds: 5% Bid Bond (to be included with bid)
100% Performance and Payment Bond (to be required from successful bidder prior to awarding bid)
Bid packages may be reviewed and/or may be purchased for $25.00 each at the Dodge County Board of Commissioners Office. Payment for Georgia DOT acceptable work accomplished will be by the calendar month from Dodge County.
This is a Federal-Aid/Georgia Department of Transportation project. Successful bidder will strictly adhere to all pertinent Federal guidelines, all Georgia DOT regulations, standards, and specifications, all Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices guidelines, and all requirements included in the Off-System Safety Enhancement Project Agreement between Dodge County and Georgia DOT.
Dodge County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
