Dodge County Sheriff’s investigators have made arrests in the Dodge County Middle School burglary and have solved another burglary ring.
Sheriff’s investigators, through physical evidence, were able to identify two (2) suspects in the school burglary. Sheriff’s investigators learned that the City of Eastman also had reports of similar burglaries. Sheriff’s investigators, working with the investigator from the Eastman Police Department, were able to solve four (4) different burglaries at three (3) different locations and recover much of the property which was taken in the burglaries.

The burglars allegedly also broke into the Boys and Girls Club and twice broke into the Extreme Audio business located on College Street. The investigation of the burglary and subsequent search of a home on Smith Street in Eastman lead to a drug charge when officers discovered marijuana growing at the residence
Law enforcement officials have arrested Quinton Fannin (age 25) of Eastman. Fannin is charged with four (4) counts of burglary, obstruction and manufacturing marijuana. Officials have also arrested Korey Clemons (age 19) of Eastman. Clemons is charged with four (4) counts of burglary.
A fifteen (15) year old juvenile was arrested on Friday April 23 for a burglary, after a home owner came home on Giddens-Harrell Cemetery Road and saw the juvenile run out the back door. Deputies located the juvenile a short distance away and took the juvenile into custody. Sheriff’s investigators believe the juvenile may be responsible for several other burglaries in that area and are continuing to investigate.
Sheriff’s narcotics investigators also made an arrest on April 23. Stacy Hines (age 37) of Chauncey, was arrested in Eastman by investigators and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Justin Marlie Mullis (age 17) of Chester, was also arrested on drug charges on April 23. Mullis alleged turned around and tried to flee at one of the traffic safety check points in Chester Friday evening. Mullis has been charged with possession of marijuana and reckless driving.
Sheriff’s investigators and agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) continue to work on the shooting that occurred at Woodard’s Trailer Park on April 16. Investigators and agents have identified the shooters in the incident and are tying up loose ends in the investigation. Investigators state the shooters are in custody in another county on other charges at this time which are not related to the shooting. Law enforcement officials are withholding any further information on the case at this time.
