The Dodge County Touchdown Club has offered to pay fuel costs to transport the band and cheerleaders to away football games this year, according to Dodge County Touchdown Club President Kim Sheffield.
Earlier this year, due to budget cuts, the Dodge County School Board voted not to send cheerleaders and the band to out of town football games to save the cost of fuel.
Sheffield, who is also a member of the school board, said that the school board will have to approve of the touchdown club paying for the fuel, but he believes the board will take the offer.

I have to say I am very pleased to hear this! Kudos to the Touchdown Club and Kim Sheffield for seeing the importance of these two student groups and for bearing the burden of these fuel costs.
