The Dodge County Middle School (DCMS) Lady Warriors wrapped up a great season as they rolled through the post-season tournament to capture the basketball championship. They were the top seed in the tournament despite the late season loss in Swainsboro.
In opening round tournament play Dodge ran over Toombs County 46 to five. Dodge had 12 players score in the game. In the semi-final game, Dodge blew out East Laurens 44 to 15. In the championship game Dodge whipped West Laurens 51 to 29.
The Warriors over came a rough start to the season to win five of their last seven games to be the fourth seed in the tournament.
In the opening round, Dodge defeated Swainsboro 46 to 37. In the semi-final game Dodge lost a 39 to 27 decision to top seed West Laurens. West Laurens went on to win the championship.

Boys versus Swainsboro: Roderick Gibson, 20 points; R.J. Carr, 15 points; Erin Pitts, six points; Noah Cummings, three points; and Bruce Ashley, two points.
Boys versus West Laurens: Gibson, 12 points; Carr, eight points; Ashley, three points; Pitts, two points; and Cummings, two points.
Both teams finished up a great season of play and represenation of DCMS.
