An Obama Court

For proof of his duplicity and liberalism we could cite a couple of June 2008 Supreme Court decisions. The Court ruled 5-4 that the U.S. Constitution did not permit Capital punishment for the rape of a child. Obama criticized the decision, but his models Souter, Breyer and Sleepy Ginsberg all voted the opposite way from the supposed Obama view.

On the D.C. handgun prohibition law, the Court struck it down, 5-4. Obama, well aware that Al Gore’s support of gun control contributed to his defeat in the 2000 presidential election, claimed to favor the Supremes’ decision. Obama’s three Supreme Court heroes Breyer, Souter and Ginsberg all were on the short end of the 5-4 vote. See, Obama could say, I believe in gun rights. He doesn’t, but was able to finesse the issue - no sense in alarming the voters before the election.

Someone needed to call Obama on this and other examples of doubletalk. The media let him get away with it, of course. They knew what he was doing.

We can trust the media to cover important events, can’t we? Maybe when they think the story fits the media template. The untold story about the horrific Knoxville, Tennessee January 2007 murders of two college students out on a date by five thugs was buried by the medialeft, while the Duke lacrosse noncrime hoax was all over the media for several years, despite its obvious lack of substance.
John Edwards also had his media protectors. The Raleigh News and Observer newsrag would not mention the Edwards-Rielle Hunter tryst when it broke, despite its obvious authenticity. JohninCarolina.com said on 8-1-08 that the National Enquirer’s story was verifiable. Now that the story is out in the open, it’s fine to unload on ol’ John.

John McCain’s billboards in the last Senate election did not mention his party affiliation. He toyed with changing parties several times. His promises should come with expiration dates.
