Dear Editor:
During the week of April 18-24, the City of Eastman will join other cities across Georgia in celebrating Georgia Cities Week.
This week has been set aside to recognize the many services city governments provide and their contribution to a better quality of life in Georgia. Our theme, “Energy to Transform” highlights the power of cities to change lives and communities.

Thanks for keeping my hometown of Eastman a historical city. I feel at home. It is nice to see the landmarks I left here as a child I walk around and have flash backs of my childhood which was just a simple way of life after living in a city that I call a concrete jungle it is nice to be among nature and familar territory. I remember where our tepee was, it is no longer there but it is still good to be back.
