Dear Editor:

How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things! (latter part of Romans 10:15)

When I read this I hear the names Pastor Jerry Duskin and teacher Stephanie Duskin and family.

These Holy Spirit filled treasures of mine are priceless to me.

Thank you Pastor Jerry and Stephanie for introducing me to the one true Jesus, the one true Holy Spirit and the one true God. Being born again and Spirit filled is the biggest treasure filled with priceless, innumerable amounts of jewels, precious jewels.

Just a few of these fine jewels are knowing that according to 1 Peter 2:24, God’s will for everyone is to be healed, knowing that according to 2 Corinthians 8:9, God’s will is for everyone to be rich, not just spiritually; knowing that God wills for us to have long life according to Deuteronomy 5:16!

And most importantly, Gods will for everyone to be saved through the gift He gave showing His own love toward all man kind, that while we were still sinners He still died for us! (Romans 5:8, John 3:16)

All of this is just the surface of the depth of God’s love for everyone! Thank God everyday for His love and for His love shining from pastor Jerry and Stephanie.

They stepped our to show God’s goodness and in the process my life is forever changed.
I say to everyone “step out and show God’s goodness” a life will be changed forever through Jesus Christ.

Is it just me or does it seem that something of this nature would be more appropriately done through a private letter rather than putting it in the newspaper?

Matthew Ch 6 verses 5-7 come to mind.

Mr. Oxley, Yes I am very familiar with those scriptures, however, I wasn't praying,I wasn't boasting about myself in any way, and I wasn't showing off some kind of charity I was envolved in. The Word says to testify of God's goodness! That's what I did. My motivation didn't require a personal letter. My motivation was to share the importance of introducing Jesus into someone's life so people would be more open to introducing Him to someone else. It's truely a life changing experience! I am confident that if you were to experience the same thing, then you would get excited, too! May God bless you and open your heart!

Matt I think the newspaper might look much thinner so therefore maybe what you are speaking of is helping it out. I know when I read the first page there seem to be no more interesting news inside of the paper.Just my opinion.
