According to a Dodge County school official, on Sunday, March 28, a photo with an accompanying text message began to circulate around Dodge County.
The text message implied that the person in the photo was one of the Dodge County school administrators. This photo appeared to have been edited to look like the administrator; however, Dodge County School Superintendent Dr. Darrell May stated that the photo is not of any administrator employed by the Dodge County School system.
On Tuesday, March 30, the Eastman Police Department requested the help of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) in looking into the origin of the photo and text message.
