For a few years now, the Eastman Garden Club has been working with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to have Daffodil bulbs planted at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Eastman. Originally, 5,000 bulbs were promised.
In December of 2009, GDOT District Manager Philip Scarborough called Eastman City Manager Bea Edge and said that the bulbs would be planted the next week. The GDOT planted 16,000 bulbs at the park that are currently in bloom. (Photo by Chuck Eckles)
