We were warned by the man himself, the Chicago Way, five days before the election:
“We’re five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

Obamacare is a crummy program as well as being unconstitutional.
“What we’re witnessing today is nothing less than a massive escalation in White House and congressional thuggery.”
Economist-columnist Walter E. Williams
Regulatory commissars, Obama style, will attempt to keep us in line.
They call it “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009”, affectionately known as Obamacare. Choice in this case ranges from limited to nonexistent.
“No clue is given as to how long we will have a choice, but it will probably be only until the ‘public option’ chases private insurance out of business.”
Phyllis Schlafly on EagleForum.com
It’s a fine idea for everyone to have some kind of medical insurance and access to quick emergency care (and all have such access) but the Barackocare plan isn’t that at all. It’s government control in which a bureaucrat tells you where and if you can go for treatment. Our life is literally in the hands of the creeps in charge. Don’t fall for their smooth talk. When the inevitable shortages begin, care will be rationed. Guess who is expendable - the older crowd.
It would be great if we could sue politicians for fraud when they abandon campaign promises and behave in an opposite manner from their guarantees to voters and constituents.
I still remember Jimmy Carter campaigning in 1976, promising to keep the Panama Canal if elected. Carter accused Gerald Ford of wanting to give it away, which caused Ford to waffle on the issue, as he was prone to do. Later, Ford said Carter was right in giving it away. You could say there wasn’t a lot to choose from between the two and I chose Ford, while holding my nose, since I voted for Reagan in the primary.
Once in office, of course, Carter moved immediately to give the canal away. The Panama Canal giveaway became the driving issue in Ronald Reagan’s campaign for the presidency, the weakening of the American spirit. He rode it successfully into office in a blowout. Experts on election eve in 1980 predicted the vote would be close - wrong again. It was a blowout, bringing down twelve incumbent liberal Democrat Senators, a possibility completely missed by the media seers.
“Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.”
Columnist Charley Reese
Always remember - Federal judges are life-tenured. Jimmy Carter didn’t make any Supreme Court appointments but he loaded the federal courts with lifetime liberals. They’re still there. He never appointed a conservative to anything but was hyped by big media as a “Southern conservative” when he ran for president. Obama will load up with the same types. Bill Clinton did the same - all liberals.
“Federal judges have a lifetime appointment which means this is like the blind date from Hell - it has no end in sight.”
