U.S. military personnel donated more money to Ron Paul than to any other 2008 presidential candidate. No one else was even close.
Florida’s Governor Charlie Crist says his favorite senators are John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Challenger Marco Rubio, the conservative alternative, says his favorite is Jim DeMint of South Carolina, a real good one. Does this tell you something? I would like to see McPain and his pal Lindsey lose the next primary to a conservative.
A new law making its way through the Arizona state legislature makes it a crime for an illegal alien to trespass in the state (Arizona only has 460,000 of them). Simply by being there subjects them to arrest. Good for Arizona.
Senator John McPain, running for reelection against J.D. Hayworth in the Republican Primary, is trying to sit this one out, as he generally does on contentious issues. His position? “No opinion,” mutters McPain, as he attempts to straddle the question. Remember his disastrous run for the presidency? He was pathetic. This one could be tough to finesse, even for the slick JMc. Juan has Sarah Palin (RINO in training?) campaigning for him.
As Texas Fred (texasfred.net - highly recommended) puts it: “How hard core conservative can you REALLY be if you’re a supporter of John McCain?” Not very, Fred.
Go Juan or John, and don’t come back. Off the fence and outta here. I say J.D. Hayworth 2010! J.D. doesn’t even need a spine transplant.
Dan Balz, a staff writer for the substandard Washington P- - - newsrag says historic win or not, Democrats could pay a price.
“Democrats are afraid of failure and nervous about what success could bring,” says Mr. Balz.
I always wonder what Ronald Reagan would do about unchecked immigration. Check what it has done to the Republican Party: “Richard Nixon and Reagan carried California seven times on presidential tickets. Both carried New York and Illinois in their greatest victories. Yet the GOP has not won one of these three pivotal states even once in the past five elections.”

From TheAbsurdReport.com - How to get rid of Obama’s socialized medicine: “Now what’s needed for that is a new Congress willing to repeal a prior Congress’s handiwork and a president willing to sign the repeal. (Or a Congressional majority so large as to override a presidential veto.) That, as Obama keeps telling us, is what elections are for.”

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” John Quincy Adams
“I defy anyone to show me where in the Constitution it says that the federal government can mandate its people to buy insurance or even has the right to take over 1/6 of our economy.”
former Congressman Tom DeLay (R-Texas)
You’ll notice - the phony indictment of Tom DeLay was a political game to get him not to run for reelection. Nothing ever came of it. Tom DeLay is a gutsy politician and refused to play the liberals’ game. The prosecutor is a longtime liberal Democrat in Texas who hates Tom DeLay.
“There is no dignity quite so impressive, and no independence quite so important, as living within your means.” Calvin Coolidge
