If you don’t know don’t say

There are three critical areas in the lives of raising children. The home is the beginning although they are almost nonexistent in the order that is ordained by Christ. Two parent homes have turned into a rare commodity. The absence of a biological father and mother will leave a hole in a child. Schools are operating with a degree of handicap because of the disaster that may be taking place in the home. All too often the teacher has to help in the role of the parent because of what is missing in the child’s life. All too often in our churches, we seem to add insult to injury the way that things are handled. Most know what the Bible says about dress but all too often we will go to some type of game dressed better than when we go to church. All too often some of the things we allow our children to do just don’t seem to be spiritually oriented but we allow it because young children will participate.

No matter what role or capacity adults find themselves, they must be careful that they are not setting the wrong example for those that are following us. Many adults are always complaining about what they cannot do or what is wrong and yet they say that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them. I know that Christ doesn’t lie. They say that prayer has been taken out of the schools, that is just as wrong as two left shoes on the right foot. I wonder why we don’t teach our children to pray quietly during the day no matter where they are. It’s only between Jesus and them. When God created this universe in six days he did not leave anything undone. Adults are very good at saying what is wrong but they never say anything about the solution that they are going to supply. When something happens in our lives and we are ok, we are quick to say that we were lucky. Christ has no such animal.
What is so beautiful about our Lord and Savior is that in each of us He sees either right or wrong with no in between. Jesus Christ will always be a miracle worker. If you don’t know, don’t say.
