HEART OF GEORGIA REGIONAL AIRPORT

Sealed Proposals will be received by the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport Authority for the APRON AREA EXPANSION at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport in Eastman, Georgia until 3:00 PM EST on Thursday, April 22, 2010 to Mr. Gene Dennis, Chairman, Heart of Georgia Regional Airport Authority at PO Box 636, 333 College Street, Eastman, Georgia 31023 at that hour opened and publicly read. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered.
The project will include miscellaneous demolition, grading, expanding the apron area approximately 250’ x 120’, and other associated tasks.
A Bid Bond must be included for each project that is submitted on in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the proposal. A Georgia Resident Agent must countersign all bonds. A 100% performance bond and 100% payment bond will be required of the contractor at time of contract execution. The bonding company must have a Georgia resident agent.
Copies of Contract Documents may be obtained from Campbell & Paris Engineers, 313 Wingo Way, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina 29464. Contract documents are open to public inspection at the City of Eastman – City Hall and Campbell & Paris Engineers South Carolina Office. Construction Plans and Specifications may be obtained at the office of the Engineers for a non-refundable fee of $75.00. All Contractors must have a complete set of Contract Documents in order to submit their cost proposal.
A pre-bid conference for this project will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport Terminal, 72 Airport Road, Eastman, Georgia. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory but it is recommended that all interested Contractors attend. Any changes made to the written requirements of the bid documents shall be made by written addendum only. Any questions pertaining to the plans and specifications should be addressed to Jack Mayfield, PE Campbell & Paris Engineers, 313 Wingo Way, Mt Pleasant, South Carolina 29464. No questions shall be received after COB Thursday, April 15, 2010.
From the issuance of the notice to proceed, the selected contractor will be given a contract period of 28 (twenty eight) calendar days to complete all work associated with the Apron Area Expansion Project. Liquidated damages for the delay in completion will be Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day for each project.
Envelopes containing proposals must be sealed, addressed to HEART OF GEORGIA REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY, and marked as follows: “Proposal for APRON AREA EXPANSION PROJECT” at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport, Eastman, Georgia, C&P Project No. 0202-18.

Under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in the security deed from CHARLIE MAE FLUELLEN AND ARTIS HAMILTON to CITIZENS BANK & TRUST COMPANY, dated March 2, 2004, and recorded in Deed Book 468, page 284, Dodge County Records, there will be sold by the undersigned at public outcry to the highest bidder before the Courthouse Door at Dodge County, Georgia, within the legal hours of sale, on the first Tuesday in April, 2010, the following described property:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the northwest half of the South quarter of Land Lot No. 33 in the 14th Land District of Dodge County, Georgia, containing 25.31 acres, more or less, and being the same property conveyed by Warranty Deed by Lizzie Hamilton Vickers to Lottie Davis, dated October 1, 1960, and recorded in Deed Book 87, page 437, Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Dodge County, Georgia, and further being that same property conveyed to the Grantor herein by S.C. Cadwell, by deed dated July 11, 1983, recorded in Deed Book 177, page 154, Office of said Clerk.
LESS AND EXCEPT: That certain 1.52 acre tract conveyed to Doyellon Hamilton by Warranty Deed dated June 18, 1998, recorded in Deed Book 306, page 282, Office of said Clerk.
FURTHER LESS AND EXCEPT: That certain 2.0 acre tract conveyed to Virginia H. Belflower by Warranty Deed dated June 11, 1999, recorded in Deed Book 331, page 244, Office of said Clerk.
The debt secured by said security deed has been and is hereby declared due because of, among other possible events of default, failure to make payments in accordance with the terms of said note. The debt remaining in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same, and all expenses of sale, including attorney’s fees.
Said property will be sold subject to ad valorem taxes which are due or which are a lien; matters which might be disclosed by an accurate survey and inspection of the property; and any assessments, liens, encumbrances, zoning ordinances, restrictions, covenants, and matters of record superior to the security deed being foreclosed.
