New Jersey Governor Chris Christie supposedly leads the Republican field for 2016, but the media always claim a “moderate” is running ahead of the pack. Remember when Juan McPain was ahead of George W. Bush for the Republican nomination in 2000? McPain was the guy who could win in November, the liberal incrowd constantly said, and also falsely claimed in 2008, that Rudy Giuliani was the “can’t miss” Republican. Rudy G. spent around $50 million and got exactly one delegate vote (in the Nevada primary) with 1,191 votes needed to take the Republican nomination. Rudy quit the race in late January 2008, some seven months before the convention.
TrainWreckPolitics.com figured at that rate a candidate would have to spend $60,000,000,000 ($60 billion) to win the nomination. Some call Rudy Mr. 9/11, recalling the days he wanted to get an automatic extension as mayor following the terrorist attacks. Rudy seemed to always be craving microphones and cameras (particularly the latter) at the time. Think back to the mid-nineties and Powellmania, when big media appeared to want to swear ultraliberal “Republican” Gen. Colin Powell in as president without those annoying primaries. Check the media candidates and run the other direction,
When the income tax began in 1913 the top rate was 7 percent and only hit 7 percent when annual earnings hit almost $7.5 million. By 1944, just thirty years later F.D. Roosevelt had the top rate up to 94 percent.

“Why does corruption in government always surprise us? Why do we expect anything else from it? Government is organized force. It takes our wealth and makes war. And we think honest men would do that work?”
