Dr. Ron Paul makes sense on this and Pat Buchanan agrees:
“As Paul argues, why close bases in the U.S. when we have 700 to 1,000 bases abroad? Why not bring the troops home and let them spend their paychecks here?

The nineteen 9-11-01 hijacker - terrorists held 63 drivers licenses from various U.S. states. Many governors do not seem to get the message and still try to give licenses to all comers, especially pre-Democrats. A drivers license is the pathway to other official papers, identity theft, etc.

Paula Deen’s food empire was destroyed by women who filed groundless charges against her, prompting media leftist attacks on her, resulting in loss of corporate sponsorships and advertising. This reminds me of the Ray Donovan case. Remember Ray Donovan, former Labor Secretary under Ronald Reagan? He spent more than a million dollars defending himself against bogus charges. When a reporter asked Donovan about his acquittal, if he had a comment to make, he replied: “Yes - where do I go to get my reputation back?“ Where does Paula Deen go to get hers back?

Few seem to realize - John Rocker in his famous 2000 Sports Illustrated interview hit piece by Jeff Pearlman never said anything about race. Check him out: JohnRocker.net. He is actually an intelligent person and good columnist, despite the media smears.
Thoughtful moderate Al Gore, just trying to save us all from climate destruction, claims deniers of global warming are homophobes, racists, alcoholics and smokers. He even thinks Republicans are “extremists.”

Liberal hero bigmouth General Colin Powell says the George Zimmerman verdict was “questionable.” Remember when media leftists tried to install Powell in the White House in the mid-1990s? You could tell at the outset that Powell was a big leftist by the crowd backing him - liberals couldn’t stop talking about how great he was. That told us that Powell was just another media candidate.

The book, It Was a Very Good Year Extraordinary Moments in Stock Market History, by Martin S. Fridson, tells us that the stock market had 10 years in the past century in which the average investor would have made a profit of at least 36 percent.
The years are 1908, 1915, 1927, 1928, 1933, 1935, 1954, 1958, 1975 and 1995.
Mike “Big Dawg” Woods, University of Georgia superfan, proved he had excellent musical tastes. I spotted him at the Friday August 16 Georgia Center bluegrass show in Athens featuring The Boxcars and Balsam Range - a great show. Mike had his usual painted Bulldog logo atop his head, and wore a vest emblazoned with Bulldog emblems. Maybe he was warming up for football season. He was his usual friendly, outgoing self.
