Law enforcement officials are looking for a suspect(s) in the murder of an Eastman man at an apartment in a house at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Page Street. A family member found the body of Gregory Scott Giddens, age 51, on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at approximately 7:47 p.m. and called 911.
After arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials were informed that the victim’s vehicle was missing. The vehicle was later discovered on a dirt lane off of Sheldon Street.
The body was sent to the crime lab to determine the cause of death. The death has been ruled a homicide. No one has been arrested or charged at this time.
The Eastman Police Department, Dodge County Sheriff’s Department, Dodge County Coroner’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) are investigating the crime.
