Dodge High tennis teams split matches

The Dodge County High tennis team traveled to Dublin on Monday, March 1 for a region match. The girls team won 3-2. The Lady Indians are now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the sub region.

Individual winners for the ladies were: Callen Carroll won 6-1, 6-3 at number one singles; the doubles teams of Roxan Stuckey and Shantoria Burns won 6-0, 6-3 and Leah Register and Virginia Hargrove won 6-0, 6-0.
The boys’ team lost 2-3. And are now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the subregion. Individual winners: Brian Broady won a tough three-setter-5-7, 7-5, 6-1 at singles and the doubles teams of Erik Evans and Will Vaughn won 6-0, 6-1 and Taelor Rye and Tyler Bennett won 6-0, 6-1.
Both teams face East Laurens on Monday, March 8 away. They have non-region matches on Tuesday, March 9 with Telfair and Thursday, March 11 with Houston County at home.
