The Dodge County High School (DCHS) JROTC Drill Team recently traveled to Dooly County to compete in the Drill and Color Guard Competition.
The Female Armed Squad, commanded by Cadet/LTC Kiesha Johnson, performed flawlessly and earned top honors achieving the highest score of the competition. Closely behind the female squad, the Male Armed Squad, led by Cadet/First Sergeant Johnji Ingram performed very well at the meet and ended up with a second place finish. In the Knockout Drill competition, an event that tests all participants at one time, Cadet/LTC Kiesha Johnson walked away with a first place finish while Cadet/Sergeant First Class Kierra Carter followed with a fourth place finish out of more than 100 cadets. The JROTC Drill Team will compete at the Region Drill Competition on March 13, 2010 at Worth County High School in hopes of earning a trip to the Georgia State Drill and Color Guard Championships in Augusta.
