Consider this: As of 3-29-13 before losing to Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University was the only undefeated team in NCAA Tournament history. All other teams appearing in the tournament have lost at least one time over the years and now FGCU has joined the rest. Still it was a great year for the school.
Kiplinger magazine says the three states with the most retirement-friendly tax laws are Alaska, Nevada and Wyoming. Three of the worst are Ohio, California and New York.
“Liberals know better than to acquit any suspected conservative, thereby giving up valuable leverage over him. “

Republicans are seen as anti-black, anti-gay, anti-same sex relationships and anti-women, because big media portrays it that way.
“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.”
Robert Ringer (RobertRinger.com) says about Sarah Palin that, “It’s possible that she’ll take a leap into the Putrid & Polluted Political Pond.” That’s a good description of the political game.
I didn’t know this. Robert Ringer also mentions that “sourpuss liberal” (as he calls her) Greta Van Susteren had the audacity to ask Sarah Palin if she had breast implants. I seldom watch Greta’s show and missed the interview. How did Sarah answer?
Surprise: Colin Powell says he supports same sex marriage. The question is: Is there any liberal position he doesn’t support? Remember when some clueless Republicans were actively encouraging Powell to run for president. Two were Bill Kristol and Newt Gingrich. I knew at the outset that Powell was a complete loser just by hearing liberals raving about him.
Opposing gay marriage is opposing the expansion of government. Many who oppose legalization of gay marriage simply feel government should be neutral on the subject. Those who acquiesce to being enslaved by the government will continue to vote for Obama-type candidates.
We need more low overhead politicians of the Ron Paul type. Last August libertarian humor columnist Ron Hart (RonaldHart.com) mentioned that Republican Congressman and vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan vacationed in Oklahoma, which Ron Hart said, “shows how cheap he is.” That’s what we need more of: cheap.
Former Michigan Governor George Romney, father of Mitt, was smart enough to turn against the Vietnam War (LBJ’s folly), which he had formerly supported. This damaged his political career. It should have helped it. George told Mitt “being right too early is devastating in politics.”
Name of the week: Jito Kok, 6’ 9” basketball player from The Netherlands and the University of San Diego.
Bumper sticker of the day: It’s the ECONOMY and We’re Not Stupid.
“Think about how stupid the average person is... and then realize that 1/2 of ‘em are stupider than that.”
