Several Jr. Grappling Indians traveled to Valdosta recently to compete in the sixth and final leg of the Tour of Georgia series.
Hosted by the South Georgia Athletic Club, the grapplers competed against opponents from Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Alabama.
Competing at 55 pounds, Josh Rogers rallied after an early loss and battled back to a third place finish.
Wrestling in two weight classes, Crosse Bearden took third place in the 64 pound bracket and fourth in 67 pound bracket.
James Rogers placed third at 76 pounds and Christian Grauberger also placed third at 73 pounds.
Jacob Danforth wrestled in two age categories, both at 95 pounds.
In the 12U class, he battled to a third place finish and in the 14U class he earned a silver medal.
Also wrestling for the Indians was Trey Mosely at 100 pounds.
Many of the Jr. Grapplers will be preparing over the next two weeks for the Georgia State Qualifier in which they will battle for a top four finish in order to earn a bid for the state tournament on March 13.
