“A good first step: Close the primary process as much as possible.” He says don’t let Democrats vote in Republican primaries or vice versa. We saw the effect of Democrats voting for John McCain in early open Republican primaries - disastrous for the Republicans.
“Republican voters should select Republican candidates as much as possible. There should be no ‘winner take all’ states in the Republican primary process. If one candidate beats another 51-49%, the loser should take their 49% into the final tally.”
Angry White Dude also wants to know why Iowa is the first state to hold a Republican primary when the state voted for Obama.
“Why should a state that voted for Obama have the first say on the Republican candidate?” claims AWD. That is a good question.
With the U.S. federal debt at $12 trillion and growing, the amount is now equal to our Gross Domestic Product, says writer Jesse Levan on VDare.com.
“To top it off, major hospitals are going broke. This country cannot afford to give free medical care and anchor baby citizenship to every sob story scam artist who shows up at the door.
End birthright citizenship today and stop handing out visas to suspicious characters.”

Look out for “Republican strategist” Mark McKinnon. He’s a media hero, no good for the future of the Republican party. Naturally he has been all over television with his “helpful” advice. McKinnon is a very liberal Republican, if he’s a Republican at all. Never take his suggestions. Of course he tries to get the Republicans to move left.
In the last election cycle $5.3 billion was spent, a 27 percent increase over the 2004 election. The McCain-Feingold election reform bill was supposed to solve the problem of big money in elections.
The Republicans have trouble learning. In 1980, a majority of Republicans favored reinstatement of the military draft being proposed by President Jimmy Carter.
Congressman Ron Paul (according to Wikipedia.org) claimed at the time that Republicans who supported this view were inconsistent, “stating that they were more interested in registering their children than they were their guns.”
Dr. Paul’s toll-free message line is 1-888-322-1414. For a good short 30-second tribute to Ron Paul please search the name Whitey “Bo” Thompson, a constituent and Vietnam War veteran.
What other member of Congress can top this? Ron Paul was state 220 yard dash champion as a high school junior in Pennsylvania.
Remember the foreign aid outfit known as OPIC,the Overseas Private Investment Corporation?
“I cannot see any redeeming aspect in the existence of OPIC. It is special interest legislation of the worst kind, legislation that makes the problem it is intended to deal with worse rather than better...OPIC has no business existing.”
Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman 9-5-1996
One election can make a big difference. Scott Brown in Massachusetts can shoot down the socialized medicine plan of the Democrats.
Bumper sticker of the day: Gas Up Scott’s Truck!
The National Rifle Association tried to defeat Congressman Ron Paul, a dedicated gun rights supporter, in the 1996 Republican Primary for Congress, endorsing his liberal Republican opponent Greg Laughlin, who had just switched from the Democrats. Newt Gingrich was behind this trickery and he persuaded most of the Republican establishment in Texas to back Laughlin. The voters were smarter than the politicians.
Their efforts failed - good!: Ron Paul 1 NRA 0. Why would the NRA oppose a friend? Gun Owners of America (gunowners.org) is far better. Their website is very informative.
Another interesting gun rights group is JPFO.org, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, based in Hartford, Wisconsin. JPFO says it is “America’s Most Aggressive Defender of Firearms Ownership.” They welcome members of all religious faiths as members.
