The Eastman City Council honored T.I. Papel at its meeting held on February 8, 2010 by declaring February 8, 2010 as T.I. Papel Day.

Papel started school when he was only four years of age and graduated high school as the class valedictorian. He completed his education in the USA and dedicated his career to teaching high school agriculture and shop. The Eastman City Council cited his many contributions to our community throughout his career. Papel is a Past Master of Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge.
