Dodge County sheriff’s investigators are investigating a possible burglary ring. Investigators are working on a burglary that occurred at the Chester City Hall the weekend of January 23.
The town of Chauncey City Hall was also broken into within the last month. Law enforcement officials in Laurens and Telfair Counties have also experienced several burglaries at small town city halls. The towns of Cadwell and Rentz in Laurens County, along with the towns of Lumber City and Milan in Telfair County, have had recent break-ins at the city halls. Dodge County sheriff’s investigators are working jointly with both the sheriff’s offices of Laurens and Telfair Counties along with the police departments of Chauncey and Milan on the unsolved burglaries.

A Dodge County sheriff’s school resource deputy arrested Corey Devon Bray (age 17) of Eastman, on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Dodge County High School. Bray has been charged with possession of marijuana by the sheriff’s office.
Dodge County deputies have had a busy week arresting several individuals on probation and parole warrants. In addition, deputies continue to serve subpoenas for the upcoming term of criminal cases before the Superior Court.
